Dear 8th Graders and their Parents,
Since 2001 members of the 8th grade class have set out on a wonderful adventure during Spring Break to San Francisco. The first trip consisted of 30 people and has since tripled. It has been such an overwhelming success, we had to continue the tradition and extend the invitation to this 8th grade class. The trip will include visits to Muir Woods, Ghiradelli Square, Chinatown, Haight-Asbury District, Golden Gate Park, Alcatraz, Ripleys Believe It or Not, Six Flags Marineworld, Palace of Fine Arts, Exploratorium, the Embarcadero, Union Square, Beach Blanket Babylon,Coit Tower and AT&T Park for a Giants game. We will be staying in the heart of Fishermans Wharf within walking distance of numerous points of interest. Among others, Connie Hyde,Alina Mendoza, Cathi Leibinger, Ginny Onorati, Barbara Share, Greg and Naomi Siegler, and I will be hosting this 5-day tour of one of the great cities of the world. This journey will begin on Saturday April 4th and return on Thursday April 9th. There will be an option to return in time for Passover.
The trip has been organized by John Hayes, a travel agent specializing in student travel with a reputation for great service. The price of $1740 includes airfare, hotel, transfers, all attractions, continental breakfasts and dinners. Students will have to bring money for lunch, shopping, etc. A deposit of $400 made out to Colpitts World Travel will reserve your spot and should be handed to me personally. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis. The trip is limited to a maximum number of 100 including chaperones. Additional details and last year¢â¡Ás itinerary can be found on www.ransomeverglades.org on my faculty website.
For information please call(305) 250 6886.
I hope you can join us.
Sincerely,
